Come learn and practice the beneficial techniques of myofascial release! Room will be warmed to 85 degrees. Utilizing mindful meditation and a focus on “pranayama” or breath work… we calm the parasympathetic nervous system to repair and heal the issues in your tissues! Expect to roll around on foam rollers, tennis balls and lacrosse balls, using different tools like the gua sha stick and a kettle bell to apply pressure on your trigger points. This will allow you to scrape damaged muscle tissue, which can improve blood flow and thus promote faster healing. We will soften and calm the mind, inviting, and welcoming the tools to penetrate deep into the muscle fibers. The temporary pain of a myofascial release, can help alleviate the long term suffering of chronic pain. The body can and will remember, past traumas, including physical, and emotional pain, injuries and other stressors. Let’s take a deep dive down the rabbit hole of your own personal pain, and the scar tissue that it has left behind… acknowledge it, embrace it, surrender to it. What to Bring: Yoga mat. Maybe your own blunt object to get intimate with. A positive attitude.
